Arizona Traveling Museum coming to Cave Creek

Posted

The Road to 250: Arizona Traveling Museum, a semi-trailer museum that blends national history with Arizona’s unique story through immersive panels, a short, looping video experience, and interactive activations for all ages, is coming to Cave Creek.

The traveling exhibit will be at Frontier Town 10 a.m.-6 p.m.  Feb. 22.

The museum, sponsored by Banner Health, explores defining moments in American history alongside the people, cultures, and communities that shaped Arizona, while inviting visitors to participate by sharing their own stories through the Dear America, Love Arizona postcard activity.

The museum's centerpiece is a replica of the Liberty Bell, one of a limited number located across the country. The bell, which typically resides at the Arizona State Capitol, will travel aboard the museum as a symbol of freedom, independence, and civic responsibility — offering visitors across the state an opportunity to experience this iconic representation of America’s founding ideals up close.

The museum is making 30 stops across the state as part of the Arizona America250. The Arizona America250 Commission is a nonpartisan effort to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary by honoring Arizona’s role in American history, celebrating stories from across the state, and inspiring civic pride in all communities.
