Wild weather uproots trees across Surprise

A monsoon storm that brought probable microbursts to Surprise on Thursday night left a messy trail in parts of the city.

The Sun Village community at 14300 W. Bell Road in the center of the city was one of the areas hit.

Several mature trees that have been in the community for more than 30 years were uprooted or snapped off near the tops.
