The city of Surprise announced the launch of a new scholarship program in honor of the 10th anniversary of the recent Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Celebration and Service.
The Surprise Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Program is designed to support local, college-bound students graduating in the spring by helping offset the cost of pursuing higher education at an accredited college, university or trade school.
Scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of the MLK Scholarship Subcommittee in increments of $500.
