This fall, Gabriela Pinilla, of Surprise, a Berklee City Music student at Phoenix Conservatory of Music, will attend Berklee on a Berklee City Music Housing Scholarship.
According to a press release, Pinilla hopes to study guitar performance at the college. This year, Berklee City Music funded nine awards for entering students, totaling over $1.2 million in scholarship support during the students’ time at Berklee.
Berklee City Music is a nonprofit program that “delivers high-quality contemporary music education to youth from under-resourced communities at low or no cost,” noted the release.
