Residents who have ever wondered what a day is lilke in Surprise public schools these days can soon receive a chance to find out — and get fed, too.

The Dysart Unified School District is offering the community the chance to go with district officials on a tour to several of its schools on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

Superintendent John Croteau will welcome patrons to the 4.5-hour tour that will include stops at Canyon Ridge School, Countryside Elementary School and Valley Vista High School.

Principals at each school will speak to the group, who will receive a tour of the campus from students and staff.

The tour will conclude at Valley Vista with student entertainment and a lunch prepared by culinary arts students.

District officials are targeting business leaders, neighbors, parents, retirees, government employees or any other interested people.

Those who attend will get a chance to ask questions at the end of the tour.

The event starts at 8 a.m. at the Dysart district office governing board room at 15802 N. Parkview Place.

Breakfast will be served before attendees will leave for the tour on a yellow school bus. The bus plans to return to the district office at 12:30 p.m.

A limited number of seats are still available for the tour. Reservations will be done on a first-come, first-served basis at forms.gle/mMyLGgGMqGvoj11n7, or by calling 623-876-7195.
