The Rotary Club of Surprise and Sun City West announced its partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to provide free books to children in Surprise from birth to age 5.

This transformative literacy initiative will officially launch on July 1, bringing the joy of reading to local families and fostering a love for books at an early age.

The Rotary Club is actively raising funds to sponsor this impactful project through fundraising events and donations. By supporting this initiative, the club aims to ensure that every child in Surprise has access to age-appropriate books delivered monthly directly to their homes, helping to build strong literacy skills and a foundation for lifelong learning.

“We are proud to bring this incredible program to the children of Surprise,” said Ron Klaphake, DPIL coordinator of the Rotary Club. “Early childhood literacy is a key factor in future academic success, and through this partnership, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children and their families.”
