The city of Surprise has released the schedule of events for the upcoming annual Surprise Fiesta Grande festival.
It is scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 at Mark Coronado Park, 15960 N. Bullard Ave.
This vibrant event will feature authentic Mexican food and a lineup of activities and entertainment, including mariachi music, folklórico dancing, a car show, Lucha Libre wrestling, piñata busts, a petting zoo, pony rides, inflatables and a short firework display.
Here is the schedule of events for the Main Stage:
5 p.m. — Event Presents Tejano Style DJ & Mariachi Valle Del Sol
5:15 p.m. — Ballet Folklorico Estrellas del Valle
6 p.m. — Rhythm Express (band)
7 p.m. — Grupo El Regreso (band)
8 p.m. — Elijah Ezequel Y Los Conjunto Addictz
Piñata busts will happen every half-hour between 6 and 8 p.m.
Lucha Libre showtimes are every hour between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m.
The Fiesta fireworks display is scheduled for 8:55 to 9 p.m.
All schedules are subject to change.
Admission is free. The city will be accepting canned food donations benefitting Valley View Community Food Bank at the entry gate.
Note there will metal detectors and bag checks upon entrance.
