Surprise releases details for Fiesta Grande celebration

Surprise Fiesta Grande is set for 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 at Mark Coronado Park.

Surprise Fiesta Grande is set for 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 at Mark Coronado Park, 15960 N. Bullard Ave.
This family-friendly event celebrates the city’s unique history, culture, traditions and community.
Admission and parking are free for an evening of live music, food, dancing, classic cars and fireworks.
Road closures will be in place from 2 to 10 p.m. on Oct. 5 for the safety of pedestrians and attendees in the following places:
Northbound and southbound Bullard Avenue between Tierra Buena and Paradise Lane.
A portion of Buck O’Neil Way and Fastball Drive will also be closed near Bullard.
The south parking lot of Surprise Regional Library will be closed all day on Oct. 5.
Free parking for the event is located south of Mark Coronado Park in the Surprise Stadium parking lot and can be accessed from Paradise Lane to Buck O’Neil Way.
ADA parking will be available at the northeast end of the parking lot near the entrance. Check out the road closure and parking map to see all the parking areas available for the event.
Valley View Community Food Bank will be accepting canned food donations at the entry gate. Note there will be metal detectors and bag checks upon entrance.
Well-behaved dogs are allowed at the event; however, they must be on a leash at all times, and owners are expected to clean up after their pets.
The Surprise Fiesta Grande entertainment lineup will include live musical performances, lucha libre wrestling, folklorico dancing, mariachi music and a short fireworks display.

6 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m. & 8 p.m.
Lucha Libre Show Times:
5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. & 8:30 p.m.
Fiesta Fireworks Display:
8:55 - 9 p.m.
Other attractions and activities include a classic car show, petting zoo and pony rides, inflatables, a vendor village, festive beverages and many flavorful food truck options.
