Surprise rabbi honors notable day with vice mayor

Surprise rabbi Shlomo Ceitlin helped celebrate Education and Sharing Day with Surprise Vice Mayor Earle Greenberg on March 27.

The official day, which was recognized two days later, began in 1978 when then-President Jimmy Carter and Congress officially recognized the day in for the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s birthday.

It honors the lifelong efforts of the Rebbe for education four days before Passover every year. It can generally can fall between March 21 and April 21.
