Surprise Public Works Director Kristin Tytler was recently named one of the Public Works Association’s Top 10 Leaders of the Year.
“This is one of the highest honors in the field,” City Manager Bob Wingenroth said in announcing her selection at the April 1 city council meeting.
The Top 10 Public Works Leaders of the Year program recognizes the outstanding career service achievements of individual public works professionals and officials.

Surprise Public Works Director Kristin Tytler was recently named one of the Public Works Association’s Top 10 Leaders of the Year.
“This is one of the highest honors in the field,” City Manager Bob Wingenroth said in announcing her selection at the April 1 city council meeting.
The Top 10 Public Works Leaders of the Year program recognizes the outstanding career service achievements of individual public works professionals and officials.
The award is based on a lifetime of professional excellence and is chosen by past Top 10 recipients. The focus is on career service to the public works profession.
