The Surprise Police Department is encouraging community members to share their feedback on the quality of service and performance of the department as part of the upcoming accreditation process through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.
During a 60-day period from April 1 to May 31, community members can access a public portal through CALEA to provide comments.
The Surprise Police Department is seeking reaccreditation through the commission as part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. The accreditation process includes gathering public comment and a site-based assessment scheduled for July 22 through 25.
Public responses may be anonymous and are received directly by CALEA with a report summarizing those responses to the Surprise Police Department at the conclusion of the comment period.
Surprise Police Department has been accredited by CALEA since 2007.
