Surprise opens registration for Tennis University

The Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex, 14469 W. Paradise Lane, has opened Surprise Tennis University registration.

Are you a new player looking to learn the fundamental skills of tennis? Surprise Tennis University is a 10-week program for adults  that includes six weeks of instruction and four weeks of pre-match drills, which is followed by supervised match play.

Surprise Tennis University 1.0 begins Feb. 18, with sessions held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday until April 22.

This course is designed for beginner players who have not previously enrolled in a Surprise Tennis and Racquet program.

Surprise Tennis University 1.0 is $99 for residents and $119 for non-residents.

The fee includes complimentary practice court time and access to the ball machine and loaner racquets.

The Surprise Tennis University 2.0 and 3.0 programs for more advanced players will begin sessions from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 5.

These are monthly and are $75 for residents and $95 for non-residents.

Registration is open, so head to surpriseaz.gov/SurpriseRec and click on “Tennis.”
