Surprise offering tour of artist's home studio

Local artist Joe Tyler will show off his home studio this month.

It's time to take another tour of artist Joe Tyler’s home studio in Surprise.
Take a free tour of Tyler's home from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Tyler has worked on over 100 projects, most of them large public art sculptures with strong botanical influences.
Several of Tyler’s works live in the Surprise Public Art Collection and can be found through out Surprise.
On the tour, attendees will view works currently on display at his home studio, get a behind the scenes look at how his work is created, and view projects currently being worked on in his shop.
Art Tours connect community members, artists and cultural organizations, highlighting the integral role art plays in our community fabric.
Participants will be guided to notice and access art and creativity all around us, and bring a sense of community, surprise and joy to the city.
Art tours are free, educational opportunities for the public to learn more about art in Surprise by touring the city’s public art collection and visiting local studios and galleries.
