Surprise library to host summer reading kickoff party

The Surprise Public Library system is gearing up for its summer reading kickoff party at the end of the month.

It's scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 31 at the Surprise Regional Library, 16089 N. Bullard Ave.

City officials said attendees should prepare to get messy with a party full of foam and other activities inside the library.

Attendees should wear clothes to get wet in and bring a towel.

There’s no registration required for this event.
