The Surprise Public Library System announced that preregistration for its Summer Reading Program is underway.

To register, log in to the library website and create an account. Readers can start documenting minutes starting June 1.

This year’s slogan is “Color Our World.” Earn points by tracking reading minutes and attending library events to learn secret codes.

Cash them in for prizes like art supplies, free food coupons from local businesses and the ultimate prize, a free book.

Logging minutes also earns entries into the city’s weekly drawing for a chance to win LEGO sets, games, Surprise Library swag and tickets for its big end-of-summer raffle.

Raffle prizes include 3D pens, a robotic drawing robot, an Easy Roller Scooter and a Kindle.
