Surprise administrative offices will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25 and Wednesday, Jan. 1 in observance of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays.

Some services, programs and facilities will also have modified hours for the holiday.

City of Surprise trash customers only are reminded there will be a modified trash collection schedule on both weeks that will postpone collection by one day.

There will be no service on Wednesday, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Collection will resume on Thursday, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.

Not all Surprise residents are city of Surprise sanitation customers and some may not experience a change in pickup service. Please check with all service providers.

The Surprise Regional Library is open 9 a.m. to  1 p.m. on Dec. 24. All three city of Surprise libraries will be closed on Dec. 25.

The Surprise Regional Library is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 31. On Jan. 1, Surprise Regional and Asante Libraries will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Hollyhock will be open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be no Parks and Recreation programs, classes or camps on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The Surprise Aquatic Center will also be closed on those days.

The Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex will be closed Dec. 24 and 25 and Jan. 1. Further holiday hours are listed at surpriseaz.gov/Tennis.

WeRIDE will not run on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Service will resume at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.

The Surprise Resource and Senior centers will be closed Dec. 24 through 26. They will reopen starting at 8 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 27.
