Surprise city auditors lauded for quality control

Surprise City Auditor Carol Holley, Internal Auditor - Senior Melissa Moreno and Internal Auditor Angela Hanson all recently received a “pass” rating in their recent external quality control review done by the Association of Local Government Auditors.

“This recognition reflects the dedication and hard work of our audit team,” Bob Wingenroth said at the April 1 city council meeting.

Wingenroth was a city auditor for many years in Phoenix.

Surprise city auditors lauded for quality control

“This recognition reflects the dedication and hard work of our audit team,” Bob Wingenroth said at the April 1 city council meeting.

Wingenroth was a city auditor for many years in Phoenix.

“To pass a peer review like this is a lot of work, and you really have to have your things in order,” Wingenroth said. “It’s like auditors auditing an auditor. It’s probably the highest scrutiny there is on Earth.”
