Surprise church hosts potluck to help people get healthy

Posted

Surprise residents can improve their health on the second Sunday of every month with the Planting Health Potluck at Clearview Seventh-day Adventist Church Fellowship Hall.

Dr. Edelita Jamis helps people reclaim health, embrace wellness, reduce medication and thrive with a series of health talks to the community, along with an opportunity to taste plant-based foods in a potluck style gathering.

The first topic on Jan. 12 is “Insulin and Statins — Not a Life Sentence.”

Learn how adding plants can prevent and turn around diabetes, heart disease, dementia, arthritis and more.

It starts at 2 p.m. at 19554 N. Papago Drive.

Donations are welcome to help with speaker’s costs.
