Surprise biz-tech park to bring more office space

Council approves Happy Valley needed employment project

Badly needed office space is on its way to Surprise, giving small business owners more reasons to stay in the city.

The Surprise City Council made way for the Happy Valley Road Biz-Tech Park on Sept. 15 when it approved a minor general plan amendment and a separate rezone.

The 7.5-acre park near the southeast corner of Happy Valley Road and 157th Avenue is expected to jump start development along the Happy Valley corridor and give the north part of Surprise its first real employment hub.
