Local artists have one more day to enter a submission for the "Wanderlust" exhibit that will run in August and September.

The deadline is midnight Saturday night for any Arizona-based artist who is 18 and older.

The exhibit will run from Aug. 8 to Sept. 11 at the Arts HQ Gallery, 16126 N. Civic Center Plaza.

"Wanderlust" is planned as a  group exhibition that celebrates the spirit of travel and exploration through 2D, photography and 3D works.

The group said it is looking for artwork that "transports viewers, especially those who long to travel or be inspired by new and interesting places."

Artists are encouraged to submit work that evokes the "thrill of adventure, the beauty of distant lands or the magic of dreaming about places yet to be explored."

Visit westvalleyarts.org to submit work and other information about the exhibit.
