First, they won the eight-week local Phoenix league by a close margin.
Next, they won Sectionals, which were played Dec. 1 through 3, 2023.
Teams participating in Sectionals were El Paso, Texas; Wildcard El Paso, Texas; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Tucson; Wildcard Phoenix; and Phoenix.
Six matches were played in the National Invitational. Opponents were Southern (North Carolina); Mid-Atlantic (Maryland); Missouri Valley (Kansas City); Pacific NW (Washington); and Middle States (Delaware).
After losing to Southern in the first round, the local team had to beat them in the finals to win.
