Physical, mental health now mix at Banner in Surprise

New program at local facility eases treatment on patients

A new model of treating mental health issues has made its way to the Surprise area.

Banner Health in the City Center is now partnering with Phoenix-based evolvedMD to place mental-health providers at its local clinic for patients to have easier access to mental health services.

Caring for a person’s physical well-being and their mental health are usually two separate entities. Primary care doctors typically farm out patients who need mental health care to other care providers who can treat them.
