Pavement work to shortly close stretch of road in northwest Surprise
Surprise drivers can anticipate lane restrictions while the city performs pavement preservation activities.
Independent Newsmedia/Jason Stone
Pavement preservation work will force the closure of 219th Avenue from Deer Valley to Pinnacle Peak roads from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26 and Wednesday, Aug. 27.
A double chip seal treatment will be applied to build on the existing roadway and provide a smooth continuous surface with two 12-foot travel lanes as well as a four-foot shoulder with millings.
The lanes will reopen each day as soon as the work is completed.
