It is a new era of Paradise Honors boys basketball and a big win allowed the program to set a new goal, or at least believe this team can reach this goal.
The Panthers entered the first school week of the new year with an 8-4 record and 5-1 regular season record. Paradise Honors started the new semester with a 67-48 win at Phoenix Shadow Mountain on Jan. 7.
On Jan. 8 the school from Surprise sent shockwaves through the 4A Conference. Paradise Honors survived a last second shot attempt by defending champion Deer Valley to beat the Skyhawks 55-54 in Glendale.
