Pair of Surprise parks receiving improvements

The Surprise Parks and Recreation Department began maintenance and improvement projects at the Surprise Community Park and Gaines Park on Monday.

The playground at Surprise Community Park, 16089 N. Bullard Ave., will be temporarily closed while crews reseal the playground surfacing. This improvement is expected to keep the area around the playground equipment safe for all park visitors.

The playground is expected to reopen for play by Saturday, June 6.
