Bossé-Smith to talk about getting healthy, eating right

The Grand is launching its fall workshop series and offering “The Truth About Nutrition and Exercise” with Lorraine Bossé-Smith from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

With roughly 43% of Americans in the obese category, the big promises of fad diets can be appealing. However, no magic pill exists. If just one fad diet actually worked long term, we would not need another one.

Bossé-Smith, certified nutritional coach and personal trainer, de-bunks the myths and gets to the core about good nutrition and proper exercise in her program being offered at The Grand.

“Getting healthy isn’t as difficult as some may think,” Bossé-Smith said. “And it doesn’t have to require a lot of time.”

Bossé-Smith will give practical, down-to-earth information in an energetic, upbeat manner suited for anyone confused about what to believe, to the die-hard fitness enthusiast looking to fine tune their healthy lifestyle.

The cost is $25 per person and includes handouts and takeaway references. Community members and non-members alike are welcome, but all must register in advance.

Seating is limited, so register at grandlearning.asapconnected.com/?org=511#CourseID=301762.

For information, contact Allison Courtis at 623-546-7670.
