Letters: Strong schools only bring about a stronger community
Strong schools are the foundation of a thriving city. As your District 3 councilmember, I support the upcoming bond and override because they provide essential resources for students — without increasing the tax rate.
Academic performance in our district continues to rise. Today, 18 schools are “A-rated,” up from just 12 a few years ago. That kind of progress doesn’t happen by chance — it’s the result of dedication, smart investment and strong community backing.
High-quality schools benefit everyone. They drive economic growth, attract new businesses and boost property values. Just as importantly, they strengthen our quality of life by fostering safe, connected neighborhoods where families feel proud and supported.

This bond represents a fiscally responsible approach to securing our future. They maintain our momentum without adding to the taxpayer burden.
Join me in voting yes — for our students, for our neighborhoods and for a stronger Surprise.
