Letters: DUSD bond, override election is about rational, principled investment
As a Dysart Governing Board member, I approach budget decisions with rigorous scrutiny and an uncompromising commitment to fiscal integrity.
That’s why I fully support the bond measure, which does not raise the tax rate yet prudently addresses urgent infrastructure needs.
This bond enables us to responsibly expand our capacity by building a new school and securing land for a future high school — an essential step given our district’s rapid growth. It funds necessary upgrades: replacing outdated buses, enhancing security systems and preserving our facilities so that small issues don’t become costly failures.

This is not unchecked spending; it’s disciplined stewardship. A well-maintained school district safeguards taxpayer value, supports economic stability and strengthens educational outcomes-all while honoring the trust of our community.
I believe in transparency over rhetoric, targeted investment over excess and long-term planning over crisis response. This bond embodies those values.
Vote yes on the bond. It’s the conservative, intelligent choice for Dysart — and for Surprise.
