Surprise Mayor Kevin Sartor has a literal countdown in his office that details the remaining days he has left in office. There’s still more than 1,400 days to go, considering he just took office last month.
“There’s not a day to waste,” Sartor said about the reason for the countdown. “It’s so we can get after it and work together.”
Sartor made the comments at his first Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast at Ottawa University-Arizona on Jan. 31. Christian faith leaders from the area gathered in OUAZ’s Student Union to pray for each other, especially for the new mayor.
