Dysart’s Community Connection Tour makes case for Proposition 421

The best way educators could demonstrate why the Dysart Unified School District needs Proposition 421 to pass was to take community members on a scenic school bus ride to tour facilities and observe students and staff for a few hours to garner stakeholders’ votes.

Although district personnel cannot tell people how to vote, they want them to be educated on Proposition 421, which is on the ballot, as voters are reminded to either mail ballots by Tuesday, Oct. 27, or deliver it and vote by Election Day, Nov. 3.

Likewise, the district gave an inside look in to schools through the Community Connection Tour. Participants began their day with breakfast Oct. 1, in the DUSD governing board room at the district’s administrative office, 15802 N. Parkview Place in Surprise.
