Deployed dad surprises Luke student at school

Luke Elementary School student Mark Tippens last month received an amazing surprise at school when his dad, Airman Matthew Tippens, showed up after a year-long deployment to South Korea.

Mark’s mom, Brittany, worked with the school’s administration and teachers to arrange this special moment.

Airman Tippens was invited to read a book written by the class, starting with the page written by his son.
