A presentation that examines the origins of horses in Arizona and highlights the deep cultural connections between Native American communities and these animals is coming to Surprise.
The city’s next Speaker Series event, called “Debating Origins: Uncovering the Forgotten History of Horses in Arizona,” is scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15 at Asante Library, 16755 W. Vereda Solana Drive.
By centering on Indigenous perspectives, the discussion offers a more complete understanding of Arizona’s history and heritage.
