Annual Surprise spring training fun runs set for Friday

The eighth annual Surprise spring training 5K and 1K fun run is Friday, March 6, at Surprise Stadium.

The city has planned it as a celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.

The run/walk will begin at 7 p.m. and take participants on a scenic, evening route through Surprise Community Park and the Tennis and Raquet Complex before heading back to the ballpark to cross the finish line in unforgettable fashion.
