The show choirs at Valley Vista and Shadow Ridge high schools made waves at the 2026 Oceanside Sound-Off competition in California.
Valley Vista’s beginning group, Voltage, and varsity powerhouse, Vocal Thunder, each captured first place in its division, sweeping major captions, including Best Musicianship and Best Showmanship, while Vocal Thunder also earned Best A Cappella.
Adding to the high-caliber regional results, Shadow Ridge delivered a standout performance in the Mixed Division, where its team, Stellar FX, earned a second-place finish. Student Kaden Robinson was honored as Best Performer.
