July high school football coaching changes are rare, with good reason.

Highland Prep’s situation is more clear. On July 7, former Honey Badgers coach Jason Shaw announced he was leaving the program on X, and the next day he followed up by tweeting he is now the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the new ALA-Vistancia program led by head coach Darrell Perkins.
