Hundreds of West Valley community members will fight world hunger through a partnership between Lord of Life Church, 13724 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West, and nonprofit Feed My Starving Children.

More than 700 volunteers will pack 156,000 meals in just two days, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 21-22, at Lord of Life Church.

Community members can support this MobilePack by making a donation to cover meal costs or by volunteering to package food at the event. Donations may be given by mailing a check to Lord of Life Church, 13724 W. Meeker Blvd, Sun City West, AZ 85375, or by visiting LOLaz.org and clicking on the blue FMSC link.

Make checks payable to Lord of Life. The church will aggregate all contributions and send them on to FMSC. No money will be kept by Lord of Life.

Volunteers are needed to package food at the event. Sessions are two hours, which includes a 15-minute overview of FMSC’s work around the world and a final wrap up. Volunteers can be age 5 and over. For those who cannot stand for extended periods of time, seated tasks are available.

Groups of 10 or more may begin registering Wednesday, Jan. 15 by calling the church at 623-322-5457 or emailing register@LOLaz.org. General registration begins Thursday, Jan. 30 at LOLaz.org.

Feed My Starving Children is a Christian nonprofit dedicated to providing nutritious meals to children worldwide. Visit fmsc.org.
