Sun City West SPAM members get twisted

Member Cindy Fink of the Scrapbooking, Papercrafts & More (SPAM) club recently taught fellow members how to make the intricate Twisted Ribbon greeting card design. Fink, Pat Keyes, Julie Eide, Sharon Marinello, Judi Mecham, Bev McClendon, Kiplyn Packer, Lynne Marion and Cecily Hart show off their creations.  Patterned paper cut into narrow strips was arranged over layered panels and trimmed to resemble corset ties or lattice work. The “twisted” sections were attached to a card base and then embellished with sentiments and stamped images to enhance the overall design. Residents interested in papercrafts, traditional or digital card making and scrapbooking is available. SPAM  meets from 4-9 p.m. Wednesdays, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 9 a.m.- p.m. Saturdays, at Beardsley Recreation Center, 12755 W.
