Sun City West photographers honored at state event

There were 17 members of Photography West who achieved some level of honor with either prints or projected images at the recent Arizona Camera Club Council Spring 2024 Roundup.

Sun City West photographers honored at state event

There were 17 members of Photography West who achieved some level of honor with either prints or projected images at the recent Arizona Camera Club Council Spring 2024 Roundup.

Overall, the contest had more than 1,100 entries from various camera clubs around the state of Arizona. Of note was the work of Larry Cowles,who alone received a first place in Monochrome Projected Images, a second place for Monochrome Prints and three third places for Color-Open Prints, Monochrome Prints and the Rotating Subject (Photo Journalism). In addition, he received five honorable mentions and seven acceptances.

Also noteworthy were second place awards to Napoloen O’Young for Creative Projected Images, Bonnie Williams for a Projected Image in the Nature category, plus Ella Schreiber received a third place for Creative Projected Images. These individuals also received honors for other images and Prints.

Photography West members achieved a total of 13 honorable mentions and 49 acceptances for their work.
