Mac-Cro-Knit Club members, who crochet, knit and loom knit, set a goal of creating and/or donating 2,026 handmade items during the year. Through their dedication and enthusiasm, they surpassed that goal in early May.
Members create items for charitable causes as well as projects for themselves, family and friends. Donations are appreciated but are never required for club membership. Members are encouraged to enjoy their craft in whatever way is most meaningful to them.
Throughout the year, members contribute a variety of handmade items to local charitable organizations. Baby hats, blankets and other baby essentials, along with comfort care items, are delivered monthly to Banner hospital. Club members also crochet and knit bags filled with donated toiletries and distributed through Eve’s Place. In November, hats, scarves and other cold-weather items are donated to St. Vincent de Paul.
