Sun City Healing Project offers aromatherapy, journaling workshop

Angela Lahman, spiritual care provider and co-creator of “Living Well Now,” has spent her career helping women cultivate fulfillment and purpose through spiritual coaching, retreats and online programs. She is the creator and facilitator of the Compassionate Women’s Retreat and a Young Living Essential Oils ambassador promoting emotional health through aromatherapy.

Lahman will bring her expertise to Doing Grief Community Healing Project in Sun City with “Breathe, Bless, Begin Again: Aromatherapy for the Soul,” a 90-minute hands-on workshop that combines essential oils, reflective journaling and guided meditation to help participants reset energy and restore peace.

“When grief, stress, or old stories weigh on the heart, we often long for something deeper than distraction—a pathway into emotional healing,” Lahman explains. “Through scent, journaling and reflection, we invite the body to relax and the spirit to remember that healing begins with breath.”

Participants can experience hands-on aromatherapy, guided journaling prompts and meditation techniques designed to foster emotional balance.

“Certain aromas lift the heart and ease heavy emotions, while others gently tell the brain, ‘It’s okay to rest now,’” Lahman says. “This is an opportunity to reconnect with yourself, reflect, and begin again.”

The program is noon-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Banner Olive Branch Senior Center (second floor), 13049 N. 103rd Ave. RSVP at 623-465-6000 or Connect@DoingGrief.org.

Other November programs at the center include “Chair Yoga” with Heike Newman 10-10:45 a.m. the first and third Thursdays (limit 22) and “Contemplative Prayer & Meditation Sampler” noon-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, with Shea Darian and Lynette Turner, sound healing practitioner.

A suggested donation of $5–10 may be given online or at the door. All are welcome, regardless of ability to pay.
