A special Scrapbooking, Papercraft & More non-member workshop to celebrate Galentine’s Day is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28. Celebrated Feb. 13, Galentine’s Day is a way for ladies to acknowledge their gal-pals and recognize their support and friendship.

The workshop is open to non-members and participants will make a couple of greeting cards and papercraft projects; there will be refreshments and club members will be on hand to assist. Seats are limited; to register for the workshop call club president Lynne Marion at 440-666-6386.

Last week, Denise Maleszewski taught members how to make a star explosion card. The recipients of these multi-dimensional cards will be surprised and awed as the card’s multiple layers unfurl and seemingly burst outward upon being opened.

New this year, the club will be open 4-9 p.m. Wednesdays with instructional workshops scheduled the second and fourth Wednesdays. Members will demo paper crafting products or interesting art techniques during Show & Tell night; unique or infrequently used craft tools in the club’s inventory will be the focus of What’s in the Cupboard nights.

SPAM meets in Beardsley center’s Agave Room on Wednesdays (4 p.m.), Thursdays (10 a.m.-3 p.m.), Fridays (10 a.m.-3 p.m.) and Saturdays (10 a.m.-5 p.m.).
