In response to the letter (“Reader Believes COVID-19 hyped for purpose,” Sun City West Independent, Jan. 12, 2022), where are any of the facts and proof of what was stated in your letter to the editor?
Your claims are all based on untruths and rumors. It has been proven over and over again the election was not won by Donald Trump. Millions of dollars have been wasted proving the election was not rigged when this money could have been used for so many other things. I do not vote based on a party. I vote for the individual that I feel is going to do the best job. Our nation needs to come together and heal. We do not need a “coup,” as was attempted Jan. 6, 2021.
COVID-19 is real and has some devastating results for many around the world. This didn’t just happen in the USA. Apparently, you were lucky and didn’t have anyone you know suffer from COVID-19, or if they did, they had milder affects (thank goodness).
You need to do your research before making false statements. For instance, your claim that injections given to American troops before being sent off to World War I reportedly caused the epidemic called the 1917 Spanish Flu is incorrect. First, it was 1918. Second, there is no proof that the injections given to American troops caused the Spanish Flu.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, having “no vaccine to protect against influenza infection and no antibiotics to treat secondary bacterial infections that can be associated with influenza infections” meant that “control efforts worldwide were limited to non-pharmaceutical interventions, such as isolation, quarantine, good personal hygiene, use of disinfectants and limitations of public gatherings, which were applied unevenly.”
Not only today, but throughout history, people are being comforted by Jesus Christ through prayer and His word. We need to seek the Lord in prayer and have him guide our behavior and not rely on rumors and untruths that are spread so much that individuals actually start believing them.
