The State of Oregon Club gathered April 20 for its farewell picnic at the Beardsley Recreation Center.
The last event of the season started with a business meeting and the election of next year’s officers: president, Ken Oliphant; vice president, MaryLynne Rhule; treasurer, Marla Duffield; secretary, Suzanne Perdew; membership, JoJo Vollstedt; communications, Margaret Oliphant; publicity/webmaster, Linda St. Pierre; and at large members, Kathy Hand, Lisa Zollman, Dan Kidd, Robb Paul and Linda Sims.
New club members were introduced and a barbecue feast of hamburgers, hot dogs, beans, coleslaw and ice cream followed.
The club will kick off the new year Nov. 16 with a welcome back party for members and those interested in membership.
