Jazzy Poms perform for documentary crew

Posted

DanceSensations’ Jazzy Poms group worked with a group of Italian film makers who came specifically to Sun City West to produce a documentary about older people who remain very active.

The group danced in the desert at sunset on an extremely windy and cold evening.

In addition to outreach activities, the club is focusing on classes at Palm Ridge Recreation Center’s dance room, 13800 W. Deer Valley Drive, which help build stamina, sharpen the minds and create better balance. The club offers basic classical ballet, beyond basics tap, intermediate tap, jazz, musical theatre, hula, clogging, stretch, Tai Chi and Pilates. The latter two classes are paid by punch card; all others are tuition based.

Club membership of $15 annually is required. To see the full schedule, visit scwclubs.com/alphabetical listings. Anyone can take a free class before registering and performance is optional in any class.
