Rabbi Lev Ettelson of the Beth Emeth Congregation of the West Valley will participate in an installation ceremony later this month.
The event is 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at Beth Emeth Congregation of the West Valley, 13702 W. Meeker Blvd.
“Becoming a rabbi has been a long journey, and I took an unusual path than most. About 30 years ago I returned from Israel where I had been studying, and a mentor of mine Rabbi Marc Soloway of Congregation Bonai Shalom in Colorado was teaching at the university. We would meet in his office and he asked if I had considered becoming a rabbi,” said Ettelson.
