Huge bluegrass festival returning to Wickenburg

40th annual event kicks off next month

The 40th Annual Four Corner States Wickenburg Bluegrass Festival & Fiddle Championship goes Nov. 8-10 at the Everett Bowman Rodeo Grounds, 935 Constellation Road.

Sponsored by the Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce, the event will feature bands including Incidental Bluegrass, The Po’ Ramblin Boys, and Chris Jones & The Night Drivers. Additionally, contestants will compete in eight categories for prizes and cash awards. Some of the categories bring championship designation, such as Fiddle, Mandolin, Flat Pick Guitar, and Banjo.

Located at the rodeo grounds, a half-mile mile east of Highway 60/93 in Wickenburg, the event allows limited reserved self-contained RV camping in Constellation Park, as well a limited space in the tent camping area.

The festival opens 11 a.m. Friday with entertainment 1- 4:30 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, gates open 7 a.m. for breakfast, and entertainment follows 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Tickets for the Bluegrass Festival are $20 adults, $15 senior citizens, $10 children; and three-day passes are $ 60, $40 and $25 at the gate.  

The grounds will include food and drink concessions, a beer booth, arts and crafts, and a designated Kids Zone 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Alcoholic beverages, dogs, food and coolers are prohibited. Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Covered grandstand bleacher seating also available.
