The demographics are changing in the Sun Cities and the communities are filled with Baby Boomers and Gen Xers.
Right now in Sun City West, there are more than 1,500 Gen Xers according to Recreation Centers of Sun City West General Manager Stephen Erno, who shared this statistic with the mid-year meeting this past June.
“It does not seem like a lot. It is a 43% increase from last year. The median age is 75 and was 76 last year and we are anticipating that will continue as more Gen Xers come and in and some folks age out,” he stated.
