Estrella Chapter NSDAR welcomes a new daughter

Posted

Chapter Past Chaplain Lillian Schauer, of the Estrella Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, administered the NSDAR oath of membership to Estrella’s newest member, Leah (Lee) Hart. This followed her introduction to the members and guests by Membership Chair Linda Vindick at the Chapter’s March meeting.

Daughters of the American Revolution Society was founded in 1890 with the simple mission of promoting historic preservation, education and patriotism and these timeless overarching principles keep the DAR and its chapters strong and vitally relevant in this ever-changing world. Women descendants of persons who served or aided the cause of the Revolution are eligible to join.

Call Nancy Nixon, 623-332-7894, for information. Estrella Chapter meets 11:30 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month, October through May, at the Sun City West Foundation, 14465 W. R.H. Johnson Blvd.
