Daughters donate to genealogical society library

The Estrella Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution presented a $500 check to the West Valley Genealogical Society Library during the society’s Feb. 12 general meeting.

The Estrella Chapter was awarded the $500 Celebrate America 250! Grant by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution to help fund a series of classes entitled “Find Your Patriot,” held at the WVGS library in Youngtown, 12222 N. 111th Ave.

The Celebrate America 250! Grant was awarded to the Estrella Chapter as part of the national society’s observation of its upcoming 250th anniversary in 2025.
