Monthly show and tell is a special time at the Rip ’N’ Sew club in Sun City West. The event is like a box of chocolates because one never knows what they are going to get; or, in this case, who is going to show up with what project they have been working on. Lynn Craig, left, and Joan Hardy show off their Evie tote bags. Hardy was a guinea pig who made her bag under the direction of Craig and Robyn Reynolds. Craig and Reynolds practiced their instruction skills before teaching the Evie bag to a full class of Rip ’N’ Sew members in Sun City West. Also pictured, Jean Hackbert made this colorful petal dress and matching hat for a granddaughter. Hackbert purchased the seersucker bubble- patterned fabric at a reduced price in the Rip ’N’ Sew back room. That’s also where she found the dress pattern, but it was in a box of free items. Hackbert said the dress was easy to construct.
